Tempi is a powerful tool for musicians and bands that allows you to measure tempo in real time while you play and analyze your performance afterwards. It functions like a reverse metronome, providing valuable insights into your playing.

• You can also export the audio recording of your performance to keep or share with others.

Here's how to use Tempi:

1. In a band setting, position your iPhone or iPad where everyone can see it, so that the whole band can be aware of any fluctuations in tempo.
2. When you're finished playing a song, press the stop button to analyze the performance.
3. You can scroll through the entire song and isolate particular sections where the tempo sped up or slowed down.
4. Play back the song to better understand what went wrong and identify areas for improvement.

In addition to its benefits for band practice, Tempi is also an excellent tool for individual practice. It can replace a traditional metronome and help pinpoint problem areas in your music while learning. Strive for consistency, aiming for minimal tempo changes throughout an entire song.

While Tempi performs best with music that has a distinct pulse, such as a kick drum/snare or repeating chord, it can still provide accurate results for less structured music. However, occasional incorrect tempo reports may occur.

If you're playing a very fast or slow song, simply tap the button at the top right to switch between 1/2x, 1x, and 2x tempos.
